What is Wireless Charging?

Charge the phone without cables. Today, there’re many phone models with this feature, which are increasingly sought after. While only available on high-end smartphones today (you can find some for a reasonable price now that they’re old), it’s coming to all devices gradually.

If you’re wondering which smartphones support wireless charging, you’re right! In this article, you will find the updated 2022 list of almost all models.

No more cables, very short wires, or broken adapters. With this new technology, you need to place your mobile phone on the remarkable charging base, which will start charging immediately.

It’s not magic; it’s simple engineering. It’s a technology that will become the standard for all phones in the future. This technology could take the necessary pressure to roll out to all new models, especially since Apple has been pushing the traditional charger out of the box on all iPhones, leaving only the USB cable and promoting wireless connectivity.

Advantages of Wireless Charging

It’s certainly not an essential feature, but it’s comfortable. Let’s say, then, that if you look at which smartphones today support much-discussed wireless charging and how much they cost, you can do without them.

However, the significant advantage isn’t just that they’re no wires between your feet. Also, you don’t have to use different plugs and sockets for each phone and accessory you want to charge. There’re universal wireless battery chargers that can recognize the device placed on it and provide the right energy to set it. Also, some models can charge multiple devices simultaneously, saving you from using various sockets.

Wireless Chargers to Use

Even if you can charge the phone wirelessly, you must purchase the charger separately as no one is included in the package. For example, Apple has even dropped the standard iPhone charger, let alone someone giving you a wireless charger.

Fortunately, they aren’t costly, but you should expect at least twenty euros if you want to take advantage of this feature, and even higher if you wish for a branded or genuine Apple.

If you decide to purchase this accessory, we strongly recommend that you choose only those that comply with the Qi standard, which is the most widely used, recognized, and secure by major smartphone manufacturers.

Disadvantages of Wireless Charging

There’s no real downside to wireless charging on phones, and if you want to look for a flaw, it’s battery charging speed. This way of transmitting energy significantly limits power, resulting in slower battery charging.

If you think you can even reach 100W with wired chargers, and you’re around 15 years old with wireless ones, you understand how little power and current can inject into the battery. Therefore, charging times are prolonged, and not only a little, but for those who aren’t in a constant hurry and can leave the phone in one place for a couple of hours, this isn’t an untimely obstacle.

The other lurking danger is the standard: Be careful not to choose chargers that don’t meet the Qi standards, as this is the safest, and now all phones are adopting it.

Finally, with the cable, you could at least move around, though inconvenient, with some care not to dislodge it. When you charge your smartphone wirelessly, you have to keep it stationary in the charging station, you can rotate it at most, but when you lift it only 1 cm, the charge stops.

We end the post with some final thoughts. But before you do, if you have any comments or want to tell us which phones support wireless charging, feel free to leave a comment we didn’t mention.

Many consider it practically useless but imagine being able to put your phone down, and it starts charging every time. Very soon we will be able to integrate them not only at home but also in the car, on public transport, and in bars. This way, you never have to worry about running out of battery.

If you think so, it’s better to wait another year or two. Undoubtedly, by this time, it will now be available to most smartphones and everyone. On the other hand, if you’re a super tech and have money to spend, why not enjoy the future right now?
